Found a use for the box!

The bed that I recently got came in a really long rectangular box.

What would any normal person do with an odd shaped box? Throw it away? Recycle it? Use it to store your random stuff like old CDs , DVDs, Shoes? Use it as a protective layer for your work bench? Turn it into insulation, fertilizer, art?

Well, I did none of the above! I decided to do the only logical thing when you have a tiny poodle named Kun Kun running around your home. I stuffed him inside the box!

I got him to sit nicely inside the box
Then he sneezed
Needless to say, he was not too pleased to be stuffed in the box. Especially when I put the top on.

But he was a good sport, and once I got a few funny pictures I let him jump out. The whole night after that he would not go anywhere near the "evil box" . Haha, I know what your thinking, what kind of weirdo puts his dog in a box just for laughs? Well I agree with you! haha. but it was still fun.

OK guys!come bye again soon!

Lost dog!

Have you ever lost your best friend? As it so happens my neighbor did.
This is a really sad situation, I would see her (my neighbor that is) walking her dog almost every single day. They loved each other! I was so sad to see this happen! She put up a huge sign on her back fence when the dog went missing, this sign has since been moved to one of the major intersections in town, so everybody will be seeing it.
The area I live is pretty big, it take a while for the dog to even wander outside of the housing area, but is very possible, but the fact that it did is very sad.

This lady loved her dog very much, she even put up a great reward for it, and put up smaller signs all over town in about a 1 mile radius.

I guess I don't really have to say this, but if you have seen this pooch around, please call the number in the photo and let the owner know. It would mean the world to her.

Thanks guys!

Got a new bed today!

It only the bed frame though. Not a whole new mattress as well. That will come later, everything in small steps. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself.

So the thing comes in a long rectangular cardboard box. The UPS dude drops it off on my back porch around 7:00 AM when I am dead asleep. This made my dogs bark their little heads off. They heard the back gate open, then some really loud THUMP when the guy set it down, then he slammed the gate closed. He probably made a bunch of noise so as to make his presence known so I get the package off the ground and inside before it rains. All I had to say was , THANKS FOR WAKING ME UP! LOL, my day off and still have to get up early. oh well.

So I drag the thing inside, it is actually a bit lighter then I thought it would be although it is still heavy, and I start to open it. Now it is a foreign object to my dogs, so they bark at it when it's in the house, my dogs can be so silly. I let them sniff it and they growl at it a little then get used to it, lick it, then move on like it never happened.

This might be a strange thing to be excited about. However, when I first opened the box I was a little overwhelmed at how many pieces there were, and I was wondering why the thing gets such great reviews. But then I located the directions and the bag of screws and things, and I realize that the instructions are written in PLAIN ENGLISH! It is as though somebody who designed the thing was a native English speaker, and they wrote the instructions so that ANYBODY could put the thing together! They even had you double check the most common mistakes so that you don't do it! I was amazed at how simple this very complicated jigsaw puzzle turned out to be!

And really, with a name like KD Frames who can blame them? They are bound for greatness.
I get the main support or skeleton done, really this was the hardest part and took the longest to put together. Once the frame was done I did not really even need the instructions to do the rest. It was pretty simple to put together.
Kun Kun trying out the wooden slate . He just could not wait.
The Finished Product! I do enjoy having a Futon frame because it is versatile, as it can change from bed form to sofa to lounge chair. It is also much easier to take apart when I decide to move it around.

However, I did have a couple things come to mind when putting it together. The instructions said "take Piece K-11r and attach to piece G-15l". This all made sense, and they even had a fancy diagram with very accurate pictures to show what piece they were talking about. BUT, it would have been nice if they had taken little stickers and labeled each piece because when you first look at it it's just a bunch of oddly cut and drilled long pieces of wood. This one thing would have made the assembly take about 20% less time.
Then if the instructions had mentioned I needed an electric drill I would have put the battery on the charger before I started to put it together.
Other then my little things to whine about the assembly process was a piece of cake... not the best cake... but I would be happy to get it again!
Next I just gotta get some more manly bedding. But you gotta work with what is clean at the time I guess. This futon is great for comfort, support, and it takes up very little space. I do like it very much. Get one!

ok, thanks for reading all! come back soon!

My doggies.

These are my two dogs. They are named KunKun and Cow.
KunKun
This is KunKun. He is a poodle, and he is crazy in the head! He was raised half by me and half by a Japanese lady. But he was born in Mexico. So, he is a Mexican raised by a Japanese lady and living with white people. HAHA!

Cow
This is Cow. She is a pit bull, and a very friendly one at that. She loves people , and once she gets to know other dogs she likes them too! My sister just showed up with Cow one day, and she has been part of the family ever since.

KunKun
Kun Kun got his name from his Japanese owner. She told me that KunKun translates to Teddy Bear . I recently looked it up on Google, and I found that KunKun actually means "sniff". So either she spelled his name wrong, got it mixed up, or in her dialect that is actually what it means. I am no student of Japanese either, so I could just be wrong.

Cow Got her name because the name my sister gave her nobody likes. My sister named her Ena... Ena is a fine name. It is not bad in any way, except it could be seen as short for enema (you know the thing you stick up your butt?) . SO! I decided to call her cow because of the color of her coat. She looks like a typical cow when you think of a cow. so funny!

Now these are the two dog bowls. The one with the heart is Cows and the one that is all black and white is for Kun Kun. The trouble I'm having with them now is getting them to not eat each others food.  This would normally not be a problem, except that Cow is allergic to most normal store brand dog foods and will break out in a pinkish itchy rash if she eats it. So we have to feed her a all natural salmon based dog food. Special formula for pitt bulls, or least that is what the guy at the pet store said. She likes it and does not break out when eating it.
However KunKun likes it as well, and he tries to eat it. Then Cow notices KunKun eating her food so she eats his food... and it's all just a big mess. Oh well, thats the joy of raising dogs!

OK, thanks for reading everybody! have fun, and come back again soon!

Because i can not have beez

For All of you who remember I Wanted to get my own bee hive this will be of interest to you! I'm walking around just picking my nose with my dog on his leash. When I come across a wonderful site! A swarm of bees is hovering around where my dog usually does his uhh... business... As my dog performs his task I'm standing there wondering why there are so many bees in the bush, and I get to thinking. This bush does not really flower much, and it should not be attracting this many bees.

I then come to the conclusion that this is in fact a BEE HIVE! Click on all the pictures with the bushes to get a better view of the bees flying around. They did not seem to care that I was right next to their home. it was rather exciting. However, for this kind of purpose I realize I will need to get my hands on a much better camera.

These pictures are a head on view of where the actual hive is in the bush. If you look at the pictures in full view you can actually see a few bees near the center of the pic.
One thing about where this hive is located is that it is near the back section of this group of houses I live in, I'm pretty sure no kids play around back here, and it's generally out of the way for people walking around. Thus it's a great spot for the bees to have picked to live. Good job guys!

This is so cool for me. I wanted my own bee hive, but this will probably do. Mostly I wanted it for the pollen exchange and to watch them, not so much the care for the bees, thought that would have been fun too.
KK! Thx all for the reads. I'll be updating you on how this hive is doing next time !
