No peel hard boiled eggs.

Have you ever wondered why hard boiled eggs just seem like view are missing something? I have too, and i finally found out what it is. You have to crack them open and peel them, what a hassle! It almost makes it not worth the effort.

But now there is a solution. Have you ever been peeling your egg and the shell slips under your finger nail and stabs your nail bed? Well this product Will keep your fingers in ship shape!

Just crack the egg into the fancy egg shaped cooking container and apply your protein denaturing heat to get your meal!

That is right, from now on you do not have to worry about suffering through bamboo shoots under the finger nail style torture just to enjoy your boiled goodness.

Great steak.

Bacon makes everything better!

that is right, i am a big fan of steak wrapped in bacon, and the only way to cook it is on the grill with nice hot coals burning under the meat!
None of that propane junk that does not give off any smoky flavor.

And when you have steak and cheese covered eggs for breakfast your day has to be a good one.
Steak and eggs for breakfast. My favorite!

Breadman cake Finished Product

This is a continuation of a previous post, you can catch the first half here

I finished my fancy cake that was made using nothing more then a box of Pillsbury cake mix, the stuff required to finish the product and a Breadman bread maker. Just put all the ingredients into the machine, hit the correct setting and walk away, set it and forget it?

You can watch me make the whole thing in these two videos.

I might not be the best small film maker in the world, but I got the job done.

As you can see after the video I smothered the cake with frosting and cut into it.

The cake cut nicely and it turned out to be a very tasty treat, however it was dense and thick. But a filling slice of cake will do better to sooth the hunger pains!

Ok ye'all Thanks for reading, leave a comment and come back again soon!

Breadman Cake

I know, I have made a cake for your viewing pleasure back in " This " post but this time it is different because I have a fancy new machine to do all the work that I would have to slave over for minutes! That is correct, this new machine, the "Breadman" ,  saves me more then 5 minutes of stirring, and mixing . I know most of you laugh at saving 5 minutes of mix time, I do too. The real thing I am happy about is the lack of clean up, all you do is stick all the cake ingredients into the mixing/baking container and push start. No bowls or rubber spatulas or wooden spoons to clean up, no mess, just easy cake!
Speaking of easy cake, I went with a cake mix again, it does not get easier then adding 3 different ingredients , mixing and baking.
So I gathered all the stuff That I needed, and even showed you guys it all measured out, but I added some PAM and vanilla. Also I used Safflower Oil and I am not really sure how that will do for taste, but should be fine.
Then you stick it all into this fancy little mixing and baking pan thingy that goes into the bread machine.

In fact it was so simple to do I made a video of how to do it in less then 3 mins.

Come back soon to find out how the cake turned out.

This is about the same model breadmachine that I am using. Russell Hobbs makes a good bread machine.

In need of Dessert

I was wandering around the grocery store just a bit ago, when I decided I needed a bit of a pick me up! Now , I am not one to go to the beer and wine isle when I'm feeling a bit down from the old nose to the grind stone routine, instead I went to the frozen desserts isle.

Baking a cake!

I get off of my long day of schooling, and I am sure I want to do just what you all do. Write a blog about what you learned and got to cut up in your anatomy class. But, what is even better then getting to chop up some cow eye you ask! Why cake of course! So I come home and this is waiting for me on the kitchen counter. No, not the mess, however I did clean up a bit before getting started on my quest for CAKEDOM!

The Pillsbury "Moist Supreme" devil's food cake. Not a bad choice i must say. Whoever decided to pick it up and force me to bake it sure had a good idea!

However my evil plans of making my whole household fat were seemingly cut short when I found our supply of oil or butter had been exhausted! But then searching my vast memory banks I came up with a simple solution my grandmother had taught me because she was a weirdo who did not put sugar or fat in her baked goods. That's right! I used APPLE SAUCE in place of the fantastic butter that everybody loves. However, unless you have well trained gustatory senses I would doubt you would be able to tell the difference.

Then being even more lazy then calling boxed cakes home made, I busted out the PAM to grease my pan! Time saved : Approximately 2 mins!
Then I decided I did not want just any ordinary cake! I wanted to do something great! Something that had never been done before! SO , I whipped up a box of cookies to go along with our devils food cake! BUT NO! It was not any ordinary bowl of cookie dough, it was EXTRA RUNNY! so I POURED that whole thing allll over my cake!
The results were astounding! I must say I impressed even myself. If only somebody else had been there to marvel at my creation!

OH, let not your eyes deceive you, this is in fact a cake with an extra layer of cookie on top! The master piece in the making was then placed in the oven!

350 Degrees F and 31 Mins later the deliciousness had come out of the oven with perfection gleaming and even a bit of an artistic touch. I was proud of my creation, unlike that Dr. Frankenstein, my monster would prove to be a bountiful heap of delicious!

I only ask you one thing. What could make a monster of tasty delicious even better? The thing it craves, what a cake naturally cries out for. FROSTING! That I will have to apply in about 30 mins though, as it would melt.

So come back soon to see me eating my creations of wonders with the added benefit of chocolate frosting!

Avacado Sandwich

So I had lunch today! It was yummy! I'll tell you all about it!Only ingredients were avocado, basil, bread hot sauce, salt and pepper. I sliced up an avocado and layered it on one piece of bread. A FULL avocado, because that is how much I like it!  Only thing I wish I had was a tomato , would have been just the right thing. But I thought it was still very tasty!

Then I took some of my fresh basil that I just got recently!Yummo! Trader Joe's is great for this! their basil is soooo good, and it does not taste like liquorish!
Then I took the leaves and made about 10 slices longways down them, just to make them easier to bite through.
Next I took one of the better salsa/hot sauces we had and put probably more then I should have on top.

Next You just put the top piece of bread on, cut is diagonally , put it in a funny pose to take a picture, and then you can enjoy! yummy!

Some might say I'm a typical Californian, eating avocado like it is a staple in my diet. But I'm not a surfer, have not even been to the beach in almost a year and I don't know any movie stars!
But that's one of my favorite sandwiches! It's so creamy, and with just a hint of spicy. oh goodness!
OK! thanks for reading ever body! have a great day! and come back soon!

Depression can be beat by ducks!

So today I go to school and its just a normal overcast June 28th day in California. You know, it's supposed to always be surfing weather, nice warm and you can wear sandals all year round? Well... that is all a load or horse pucky! Today it was raining! raining in late June almost July! Crazy sauce. But that does not stop my normal activities , though I did need to go back home to get a jacket because it was cold!

Weather for Walnut Creek, CA

57°F | °C Tue Wed Thu Fri
Shower Partly Cloudy Partly Cloudy Sunny
Cloudy
Wind: SW at 8 mph
Humidity: 94% 66°F 54°F 73°F 52°F 81°F 55°F 86°F 57°F

Alas school was not cancelled due to rain, much to my dismay. However I did still manage to eat a healthy summer time type lunch! Had a whole carton of blueberries, and Gala apple a Haas avocado, and a plumb... not sure the brand. But it was tasty!

Must say, the best part of the rain in this strange time of the year was getting to see the ducks! They were loving it! I was just sitting under the overhand eating my lunch when this flock of ducks come marching up. I'm a little surprised at first at their number but just sit back and watch them.
I did not get a picture of it, but one of the ducks found a snail that was escaping the rain and ate it out of its shell. It was a funny sight. I had no idea that ducks ate snails. Maybe I should get one for my garden. It would eat all those pesky slimy creepy crawly things. haha.
They soon grew tired of me staring at them and waddled off. That was one of the more interesting things that happened to me today. Ducks are funny. I could sit at a pond for hours simply watching them do their thing . Though it would be fun to have a loaf of bread or crackers with me.

OK everybody ! Come back soon, I'll have another one of my exciting adventures for you!

Lets Eat some Roast beef

Once again I forgot my lunch at school. This time I was much more hungry then usual. I suppose it was because I woke up 5 mins before I was supposed to be on the road. So needless to say I need to take a shower tonight... but thats gross. So, lets see what I did after my 3 hour math class.

I remembered that I have to eat once my math class was over. I was rather out of sorts because about the same time everyday I go to my little spot on campus and have myself a PB&J sandwich and whatever else I can find lying around the house (though, usually I take food items, not just what ever is lying around) So, I check my wallet, and decide the numbers on the paper inside my wallet add up to a high enough number to purchase a meal! So who can guess what I got?\

That is right! I had a Kinders Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwich on their super tasty Dutch Crunch bread, ANOTHER bag of those super tasty chips I already told you about, and because I wanted to be healthy some V-8. It was the best! I have not had a Kinders sandwich in months! I remember when I was first introduced to these fancy things. My first one was a Ribeye sandwich. Their classic hot sandwich. I'm pretty sure it is their number one seller. So good, and with loads of their bbq sauce.
But anyway, my sandwich , though it was premade and sat in the student store for probably 5 hours was delicious. It was , as I mentioned, the Dutch Crunch roll, which is a classic white roll with some kind of... cheese? or something super tasty baked onto the top of the bread. It's oh so yummy , and has just the right abount of chew to it.

On the inside is just enough Mayo to have a thin layer on both pieces of the bread with mustard spread enough to make the sandwich moist but not soggy. The meat must have been sliced that day it was so good, and the cheese was pungent with a strong but not over powering flavor! Their tomatoes were just the right ripness and not squishy, and the only thing I could say to add would be more lettuce... hehe. love lettuce.

Overall my lunch was a grand sucess. Had an exceptional sandwich , some super tasty chips and my 3 veggie per serving V-8 juice!
KK, thanks for the readz all! come back soon to see more of my life via pictures!

Losing at lunch

So blogger is not letting me upload pictures to my blog. So I'll just have to put into words what my pictures would say. Now I know that a picture is worth a thousand words... but I'll have to cut it short. My time if finite , and my fingers do have boundries set by friction on the keyboard. However, this post I will update if at a later time today blogger allows me to upload my pictures.

As was normal for me now, I went to school today and found myself hungry. I have in the past brough my lunch, which turns out great because I dont have to pay 6 dollars a day to eat, but I had forgotten to grab it from the fridge. So I'm at school, hungry, between classes, so I do what must be done. I go to the near by convience store and get me some tasty chips and a bottled water.
These chips were new, and I was a little off put by them at first. The package has on the front in BIG BOLD letters  at the very top "FOOD SHOULD TASTE GOOD" . This is either a good sign or a HORRIBLE sign because they are either saying our food tastes good, or they are aknoledging the fact that they dont make a good product. At least they are being honest in either case. Also that is the name of the brand? weird

So I look over the package of Jalapeno Tortilla chips and I find they have a whole bunch of those new age symbols and sayings that basically say "we are all natural/organic ect". It has everything listed; "certified Vegan" , "Certified Gluten Free" , "All Natural" , "cholesterol Free" , "Good Source of Fiber" , "No Trans Fats" , "No MSG " , " Not GMO (Genetically Modified)" ,  "Certified Kosher" , and lastly "No Artificial Colors ,Flavors or Preservatives" .  My mind is going Crazy, why in the world would they need ALLL of those symbols? Is the world around me really that bad? Are there really that many things that threaten my way of life, or my health?
Then I look at the Nutrition label and notice the Fiber Content , 5Grams, or 20% of your daily value. Just then I'm thinking, oh no, I wasted my 0.99 cents on this bag of chips. Despite all the fancy labels and promises that it will taste good, it wont.... just look at the fiber content. Anything with that much Fiber can not be good.
Then I pop open the bag, and smell, it was great. It smelled really good. Like I had just sat down at the table in a Mexican food place, and they put the chips and salsa right in front of me.  So initially it was good. I liked the smell. Then I looked at the chips. They were red... with flakes of green and tiny orange pieces on them. Not the best looking chips, but If the green flakes had been bigger I would have claimed they were Christmas chips. But all looks aside When I took that first bite it filled my mouth with crunchy goodness. Then I inhaled and got a huge wiff of those aeromatic spices and herbs. Then the spice hits me. It was not an overwhelming burn, a fire out of control, but instead a controled burn. A heat that aids in the flavor and does not cover it up.  It was much more then I was expecting .
If I were to compare it to a classic Dorito It would win. The Dorito hits you in the mouth fast and hard, but its over four seconds after the chip hits your mouth, with almost no aeromatics to speak of. These chips had a slower, but stronger and growing flavor as you ate them. I would reccomend them to anyboy who has tried all those other "healthy" chips out there and thought they were bland and flavorless.

Then to end my lunch time break between classes I though I would try to get rich quick by buying a couple of two dollar scratcher. Much to my surprise I did not get rich. In fact I spent Four dollars on 1 minute of entertainment . But least it gave me one minute to think about what I would buy when I uncoved the WINNER symbol on that lottery scratcher.

That was the most exciting part of my day, tune in soon to see If I can upload pictures as proof of my story! k, thanks for the reads all!
