Mud makes noise.

Poking around school between classes, I had decided to eat my lunch. While stuffing a granola bar into my face i hear a strange noise.
I look around, and it happens again. Then i finally find the source of the noise.

Above my head in the corner of the ceiling is a spot of mud. Now this confused me, why would mud be making noise, so i got a closer look.
much to my surprise i find it is actually a birds nest.

The birds look to me like adult birds but are still calling out to the parents to feed them . It was a fun sight . Then to make it a bit more funny a couple of the birds jumped out of the nest and flew around then went back to the nest and called for more food .

I then realized that the birds were probably just about to leave the nest, and make their own way. And i was correct because i came back just yesterday and found it empty.

That is the extent of fun at school for me!

Taking a CompSci (100)

Has anybody taken the most basic computer class out there?
was it any fun?
did you spend a butt load of money on a book you didnt read?
Was the book basically the whole class?
Did the teacher have questions from the book that they never even mentioned in class?
Did you ever read Understanding Computers --th Edition?
Pic taken from amazon book preview

Just wondering, also, your answers might sway me in my decision on getting my book:

The Human Heart

So, Learning about the human heart in my Anatomy class. This is an easier chapter I would say, it is basic mechanics of how the blood flows and which chamber pumps first. So, I liked this chapter.
But then again there are a bunch of weird new words to learn . Like Semilunar Valve. so many different vocabulary words.

Although The heart is kinda a mirror image on the left and right side. If you learn one half of the heart you will know the other half for the most part.

Here is a thought, looking at the back of the heart you can see big veins/arteries. The idea that they heart has to pump its own blood, how weird.

THEN! the most fun part of the class, we get these strange Anaograms to remember all the parts of the blood! This one was the best so far, Never let monkeys eat banans, haha. poor monkeys.

OK! thanks for the reads, and come back soon, I'll go over some popsicle sticks of my child hood instead of more boring anatomy class. haha

What is a Squamous Suture?

Hey Yeall! It has been a while, but I think I'll just get right into it and tell you what I have been up to!
SO, in school I am working on a medical degree and this was the lab we had to do. I was learning the various name of the parts of the human body! Right now I am studying the human skeleton, and in this study I got to learn the names of all the individual bones and points of interest on the human skull! Speaking of human skulls, these that you see here are all pictures of the only REAL human skull my class had access to. All the others were just casts made from plastic. My table lucked out and got the real thing!

So, my favorite thing I learned about the human skull so far has been the Lambdoid suture. This is where the occipital bone and the two parietal bones meet on the back of your head! You can see it labeled in red in the pic on the left. I like this one mostly because of the name. Lambdoid... how weird! haha
Another interesting thing I learned was that in the medical profession you don't call things by their real name. You have to use weird words and names for things that are usually in different languages, like Latin, or Greek. For instance , the Ear Hole is really called your External Acoustic Fossa. Just a fancy way of saying outside sound hole... Weird I know. But I suppose once you learn the fancy code words for all these things you wont be misunderstood.
So far in my class I have had to dissect a fetal pig, and work on reveling the muscles that lye beneath the skin on a real human cadaver. Kinda freaky to work on an actual human, but I got over it.

For those of you looking for more pics of the stuff I'm working on, I'll be happy to show you, however It will be limited because A lot of this stuff I'm not allowed to take pictures of for respect for the dead. So I'll share what I can! ok, come back soon for more fun pics!

The Strange Things people do.

I'm poking around school when I come across a garbage can. This is a good thing, because I had a wrapper to throw away and did not want to litter. So as I walk up to it I notice there is a strange thing on it. There is a sticker that reads "Landfill Bad" in big red letters on a white background. Normally I don't take the time to read things people put on garbage cans, but the big red letter caught my eye.

I was quite amused at this sticker. Somebody actually took the time to purchase it from a store and knew exactly where to put it! How strange the amount of free time some of my fellow college students have. Then as I walk the campus I notice a few more Garbage cans with the sticker... Now I'm suspecting something bigger. Then I start to realize that EVERY SINGLE GARBAGE CAN has these these stickers on them . I am simply amazed at the gusto, the time, the effort... the large wad of Cash it took to put this little bumper sticker rebellion on.  About the only thing this sticker makes me want to do is litter my trash because it's telling me to not use the garbage can. A tad counter productive.
Really, I don't care about the landfill problem. It is just a problem waiting to be solved. Somebody will come up with an idea that will make them rich, and our planet and drinking water will be all the better for it. But to spend hundreds of dollars and probably a few days time to vandalize all the garbage cans on the campus? That is simply just a strange act. Though it does make me think... mostly about how some people are way to concerned with the health and well being of the planet. It has been around for a very long time. Nothing we humans do to it will make it go away. Our silly nuclear bombs and toxic waste and all the other "terrible" things we humans have come up with pail in comparison to nature. Even after the world is covered in nuclear fall out, it will still be here... we won't. So don't worry your little head about the planet, it has and still will take care of itself, just worry about your own life.
On a more fun note. Some weirdo decided to plant a tomato plant under the campus map at the entrance to the library . I find this to be silly, but quite an achievement to not have it plucked out yet. I'm wondering if the 3 green tomatoes will actually turn .

The person who planted this rouge tomato plant, I wish you well, even though your probably the same person who put up all those stickers... Such a strange thing is college.

KK! Thanks for all the reads guys! come back soon!

Lets Eat some Roast beef

Once again I forgot my lunch at school. This time I was much more hungry then usual. I suppose it was because I woke up 5 mins before I was supposed to be on the road. So needless to say I need to take a shower tonight... but thats gross. So, lets see what I did after my 3 hour math class.

I remembered that I have to eat once my math class was over. I was rather out of sorts because about the same time everyday I go to my little spot on campus and have myself a PB&J sandwich and whatever else I can find lying around the house (though, usually I take food items, not just what ever is lying around) So, I check my wallet, and decide the numbers on the paper inside my wallet add up to a high enough number to purchase a meal! So who can guess what I got?\

That is right! I had a Kinders Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwich on their super tasty Dutch Crunch bread, ANOTHER bag of those super tasty chips I already told you about, and because I wanted to be healthy some V-8. It was the best! I have not had a Kinders sandwich in months! I remember when I was first introduced to these fancy things. My first one was a Ribeye sandwich. Their classic hot sandwich. I'm pretty sure it is their number one seller. So good, and with loads of their bbq sauce.
But anyway, my sandwich , though it was premade and sat in the student store for probably 5 hours was delicious. It was , as I mentioned, the Dutch Crunch roll, which is a classic white roll with some kind of... cheese? or something super tasty baked onto the top of the bread. It's oh so yummy , and has just the right abount of chew to it.

On the inside is just enough Mayo to have a thin layer on both pieces of the bread with mustard spread enough to make the sandwich moist but not soggy. The meat must have been sliced that day it was so good, and the cheese was pungent with a strong but not over powering flavor! Their tomatoes were just the right ripness and not squishy, and the only thing I could say to add would be more lettuce... hehe. love lettuce.

Overall my lunch was a grand sucess. Had an exceptional sandwich , some super tasty chips and my 3 veggie per serving V-8 juice!
KK, thanks for the readz all! come back soon to see more of my life via pictures!
