Breadman cake Finished Product

This is a continuation of a previous post, you can catch the first half here

I finished my fancy cake that was made using nothing more then a box of Pillsbury cake mix, the stuff required to finish the product and a Breadman bread maker. Just put all the ingredients into the machine, hit the correct setting and walk away, set it and forget it?

You can watch me make the whole thing in these two videos.

I might not be the best small film maker in the world, but I got the job done.

As you can see after the video I smothered the cake with frosting and cut into it.

The cake cut nicely and it turned out to be a very tasty treat, however it was dense and thick. But a filling slice of cake will do better to sooth the hunger pains!

Ok ye'all Thanks for reading, leave a comment and come back again soon!

PG&E made my morning fun.

Hello All! And welcome to my thought process;

So I wake up late and miss my morning radio show . Normally i wake up for a couple hours and just lay in bed half asleep listening to the show. But today was different. I had no memory of the show even being on . I went though the list of possibilities : was my radio set for pm instead of am ? Was it unplugged? Was it broken! after looking at it for a little I decided it was not broken, but the power was out. Did I blow a fuse? Forget to pay the power bill? Was there an accident that knocked out the power? Then I get out my battery powdered radio and turn it onto local news and nothing comes up. Then I decide it was me not paying the bill. But then I realize it was the middle of the month, the bill is not due for another two weeks. My next actions involved me being out of bed, dressed and wandering the house looking for a cause. At this point I'm starting to want coffee and some eggs and bacon. I go downstairs and turn on the stove and then utter some harsh language under my breath (dang it ) when I remember that  the stove requires power. Then I go over the various ways there are to cook eggs in my head and just as I am about to get out twelve candles to put under my frying pan when I recall that my sister gave me a turkey fryer that runs off propane!

All my camping knowledge comes back to me like a flood! I whip out that frying pan, my lighter, a stick of butter seasoning and the eggs and I have breakfast cooking in no time!  So sad though, no bacon! oh well, maybe next time.
PG&E made me do it!
This thing was great! It's original purpose is to fry turkeys on, however I am glad I kept it beyond the time I thought I would need it.
There will be fire even if PG&E does not provide the fuel!
The only problem was that the lowest setting was close to the highest setting on my stove, and that is HOT!

PG&E Can't make me go hungry!

The end result was much better then I was even hoping for! I then boiled some water and made some coffee, I even made some toast and had a little egg sandwich.

The only thing that really gave me trouble was showering in the dark. That was tough, but luckily it was close to Christmas, and my mother likes to celebrate more then one religion , so we had the menorah out. That made showering much easier.
OK! Thanks for reading everybody!

Come back again soon! I should have another couple posts up soon!

Baking a cake!

I get off of my long day of schooling, and I am sure I want to do just what you all do. Write a blog about what you learned and got to cut up in your anatomy class. But, what is even better then getting to chop up some cow eye you ask! Why cake of course! So I come home and this is waiting for me on the kitchen counter. No, not the mess, however I did clean up a bit before getting started on my quest for CAKEDOM!

The Pillsbury "Moist Supreme" devil's food cake. Not a bad choice i must say. Whoever decided to pick it up and force me to bake it sure had a good idea!

However my evil plans of making my whole household fat were seemingly cut short when I found our supply of oil or butter had been exhausted! But then searching my vast memory banks I came up with a simple solution my grandmother had taught me because she was a weirdo who did not put sugar or fat in her baked goods. That's right! I used APPLE SAUCE in place of the fantastic butter that everybody loves. However, unless you have well trained gustatory senses I would doubt you would be able to tell the difference.

Then being even more lazy then calling boxed cakes home made, I busted out the PAM to grease my pan! Time saved : Approximately 2 mins!
Then I decided I did not want just any ordinary cake! I wanted to do something great! Something that had never been done before! SO , I whipped up a box of cookies to go along with our devils food cake! BUT NO! It was not any ordinary bowl of cookie dough, it was EXTRA RUNNY! so I POURED that whole thing allll over my cake!
The results were astounding! I must say I impressed even myself. If only somebody else had been there to marvel at my creation!

OH, let not your eyes deceive you, this is in fact a cake with an extra layer of cookie on top! The master piece in the making was then placed in the oven!

350 Degrees F and 31 Mins later the deliciousness had come out of the oven with perfection gleaming and even a bit of an artistic touch. I was proud of my creation, unlike that Dr. Frankenstein, my monster would prove to be a bountiful heap of delicious!

I only ask you one thing. What could make a monster of tasty delicious even better? The thing it craves, what a cake naturally cries out for. FROSTING! That I will have to apply in about 30 mins though, as it would melt.

So come back soon to see me eating my creations of wonders with the added benefit of chocolate frosting!
